Tone doesn’t look too impressed here 😒 If you struggle with good posture & your shoulders roll forward, you may need to incorporate pulling exercises into your routine... such as the dumbbell row I am executing here. A couple of quick take aways. If you can’t maintain a flat back then you may need to work on mobility in your spine and/or hamstrings. I find if you pull the weight more towards your hips you will end up recruiting less bicep and more lat. Tag a friend and tell them to ask questions. Keep reading if you want to be inspired today👍🏼 @schnazalope “Since being diagnosed with primary sclerosing cholangitis earlier this year I decided to get in the best shape I could as I will most likely be undergoing a liver transplant in the next ten years. I found the Playbook App from Don Saladino and haven’t looked back. Sharing my progress in hopes it inspires others to get in shape. I knew it would take dedication but it is honestly way easier than I thought to get to this early stage. “Since PIC is an autoimmune liver disease I immediately cut out alcohol #wreckingball (yeah I liked beer #previousposts) and went on a low fat diet to give my liver a break. I cut out a bunch of foods but really I don’t miss the garbage which is what I cut out. I already maintained a fairly healthy lifestyle but never considered myself “fit”… I discovered the Playbook Training app about 10 weeks ago and have loved it. I did start weight training in June…Training 6 days a week at home in my basement has been way easier than I thought it would be. I should add that this is all natural. I cant risk even taking ibuprofen so im not risking anything else. I have never dreaded a workout but then again I have a hell of motivator inside me. I find I have way more energy since taking better care of myself. Not sure if it is actually don who replies to my questions or comments in playbook but I always get a response and encouragement. Can’t recommend the app enough. It does have a cost but truly worth it. I will share progress from time to time. In it for the long haul. So if anyone is feeling down about their health or fitness I believe you can do it. Make your life a priority. Life is about balance.. I mess up everyday. Screw up my diet, get angry, and make bad judgement calls. This is part of who I am and though it has taken me years to accept this, I always continue to try to improve. I am continuing to figure out ways to turn my weaknesses into strengths. Just take a deep breath and do your best. That’s all we can control sometimes. I find that recognizing this when we fall short is enough to improve for next time. www.donsaladinoapp.com
It was a bittersweet moment when I heard @kathielgifford is leaving @klgandhoda after 11years. Bitter because I’m not going to be able to continue to learn from one of the strongest, smartest, and kindest women in the business. If you ever had the opportunity to be able to watch her work you would understand exactly what I’m taking about. She always took the time to ask and check in on how me and my family were doing and I am sad that I’m not going to be able to continue to be in her presence. Sweet, because although she has accomplished so much in life, family, and business, I am about to watch someone who has achieved it all continue to follow her dreams. Thank you Kathy Lee for all you have done for me in this one year, it feels like a lifetime. Hope we can stay in touch and work together in the future.
Everyone wants a steady climb without any hurdles. I still haven’t found anyone who has achieved that yet. 🤔 Every successful person I have come across has dozens of stories of their failures. This is how they were able to learn from their mistakes and dial in whatever they were trying to accomplish. I have been in my line of work for 20 years and with every success I have had several failures. I’m asked often how to build confidence in the gym. The answer is you just have to start showing up. Begin to challenge yourself, even if its for 5-10 min. ⠀ I have gladly stolen the line, “Other people’s opinion of you is none of your business.” Stop thinking about what others perception of you is, and start enjoying being in the moment. Getting completely out of your comfort zone can be a great experience. ⠀ Last night we went down to @305fitness to celebrate @natalialalonde and @taylorneisen birthday. The Dance environment is not something I am good at, but I had an amazing time. Laughing with friends and especially watching my kids go hard for 55 min was unreal. ⠀ And the fact that Tone danced...... Wow!!!! 😬😂 www.donsaladinoapp.com
